By checking this box, I and my successor acknowledge that I am voluntarily using this scooter service at my own risk. To the fullest extent permitted under South African law, I hereby release, waive, and hold harmless the relevant Municipality, its councillors, officers, employees, agents, and contractors (“the Municipality”) from any and all claims, liability, loss, damage, injury, or expense arising out of or in connection with my use of the scooter service, including but not limited to claims relating to public roads, pavements, infrastructure, traffic conditions, signage, or the conduct of third parties.

I further agree to indemnify and hold the Municipality harmless against any claims, damages, costs, or legal expenses (including attorney and own client costs, where applicable) arising from my use of the scooter service.

Nothing in this indemnity excludes liability for the Municipality’s gross negligence or wilful misconduct where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.
