* INDEMNITY *
- I, hereby acknowledge that I am renting electric scooters offered by Richtrau No. 63 Pty (Ltd) t/a GoNow no. 2005/012200/07 (Hereinafter referred to as “Gonow”) and that I will be renting it entirely at my own risk.
2. I understand the inherent dangers and risks associated with bicycling and I assume and accept any and all risks of injury, paralysis or death. - I waive my right to any and all claims of whatsoever cause or nature, against Gonow or its employees or agents for any loss, damage or harm that may be suffered or sustained arising out of or in connection with the use of the scooters and all other functions and events related hereto, notwithstanding that such loss, damage or harm may have been caused by the negligence of Gonow, its employees or agents, howsoever such loss, damage or harm is caused.
4. I hereby indemnify Gonow, its employees or agents, against all or any claims which may be made against any of them by a third party (including my dependants) where such claim arises out of or in connection with the use of the bicycles and all other functions and events related hereto.
5. I undertake to comply with the instructions of Gonow employees.
6. I confirm that I am not suffering any medical condition that may preclude me from riding.
7. I accept that this contract sets out the full basis of the relationship between Gonow and myself and acknowledge that it is governed by the laws of South Africa and in the event of my bringing legal action against Gonow or its employees, agents or contractors, agree that only the courts of South Africa shall have jurisdiction.
8. I acknowledge that I will be responsible for all and any damage caused to the rental scooter
from the time of delivery thereof to the time of return thereof to Gonow. My liability for damage to the rental scooter is absolute, whether or not the damage was caused by negligence, vicarious or otherwise.
9. I confirm that the rental scooter is given to me in good order and condition and that I received an induction course on the use thereof.
10. Once the indemnity form has been signed, all scooter rentals are non-transferable and Non-refundable.
I hereby agree that all the information on this form is true and correct and I have read and understand this indemnity, its terms and conditions.

Gonow Scooters collects photographic data through the mobile application. This includes “end ride photos” that riders are required to take and submit upon completing their ride, as well as any photos sent during interactions with our customer support team. These photos are used to verify ride completion, ensure the safety and proper use of our vehicles, and assist in resolving customer support queries.
Use of the camera and images in the Mobile Application:
Camera: to use our services, we need to access certain functions of your device. Depending on the installed operating system, the user must explicitly grant the permission or can revoke it on a case-by-case basis. The data that we may access within the framework of authorizations will only be used for the purposes indicated in this Privacy Policy. Access to the camera feature is required to scan the vehicle’s QR code to rent it. The camera may also be necessary to verify driving license and user identity.
Images: the user may, at their sole discretion, add a photo to their user profile. The data that we may access within the framework of authorizations will only be used for the purposes indicated in this Privacy Policy.
Photographic Information: At the end of each ride we ask you to take a photographic image of the vehicle’s parking place. We retain this image to ensure that the vehicle has been parked in a safe and appropriate place.
Camera permissions app – In the app, we use the camera permission to be able to use your camera to scan the QR codes of Scooters and to take an end-ride photo. We store the end-ride photo on our servers to analyze parking behavior.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data
